Fresh Oasis Community Garden

Fresh Oasis Community Garden at the ArtsXchange is an inviting space where individuals, families, and groups can grow produce for themselves as well as provide educational classes and volunteer opportunities. With support from East Point Grown and Food Well Alliance, we are planting for our future to raise awareness of sustainability and healthy living through gardening.

Fresh Oasis Community Garden was established in 2020 and is part of East Point's City Agriculture Plan to prioritize urban farming and equitable access to healthy foods. The city's largest community garden, we are also a USDA's People's Garden.

The initial costs for garden bed is $80 per 6' x 3' bed for the first year, with a $50 annual renewal feeThe cost includes compost and irrigation. We also offer various gardening classes!

Additional benefits to having a garden bed with FOCG include:

  • Free soil and seeds

  • Free access to our Garden Like a Boss workshops taught by garden manager, tenisio seanima

  • Special opportunities offered by ASC Fresh Oasis Community garden


East Point residents are eligible for a FREE garden bed!


Thanks to a neighborhood grant from the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, the ArtsXchange is offering East Point residents the opportunity to apply for a FREE bed in our garden.

Please limit applications to one per household. Before submitting application make sure to review the Garden Rules and Regulations and the Garden Waiver Form. Applications are not a guarantee for a bed. Bed acceptance letters will be issued within two weeks of receiving the application.

tenisio seanima, the inaugural Urban Agriculture Manager for East Point, GA possesses an unwavering passion for creating positive change, which earned him the reputation as a service-driven leader across the Southeastern United States. During the past two decades, he has cultivated extensive experience in the arena of cooperative development, food policy, agricultural sales, leadership, mass media, and social activism.
